This week I'm taking my accounting mid-term, which is a refresher of my undergrad fresh/soph material. I'm thirsting for greater challenge in accounting, however, so I plan on taking Advanced Financial Reporting after I graduate. The great thing about my program is that alums can take graduate-level courses after completing their MBA program for $300! Not just auditing the classes, but taking them for an actual grade. I'm seriously contemplating AFR and Advanced Corporate Finance, since I'm such a hardcore numbers geek. If anything, it will supplement my studying for the CPA exam. Yep, lo and behold, lil' miss "I don't want to be pigeonholed as an accountant for the rest of my life" is going to finally sit for the crazy thing six months after graduation. Hey, it can't hurt, right?
Today marks my official halfway point of my MBA schooling. Yeah! My flights for Brazil and Mexico have been booked to a tune way too expensive to talk about, but we all know one-way ticket prices blow. I can't wait to show the US and Brazilian immigration officers my one-way ticket to Sao Paulo. If that doesn't warrant a cavity search, I'll consider myself lucky. I don't plan on bringing any jewelry, nor my laptop, especially when I read reports like this: https://www.osac.gov/Reports/report.cfm?contentID=64850&print JOY! I confirmed this activity with a Brazilian employee at my company, and all I can say is: I want a bodyguard.
Meanwhile, my hubby is studying for the GMAT, which is equally painful.
